Fotoscope FotoShow V1.0 Help
|
|
What does it do?
|
What would I use it for?
|
|
The FotoShow is an image viewer with a wide range of features. It allows for 8 banks or sets of images,
each of which can have its own settings. Images of different shapes can be included.
|
The FotoShow is ideal for showing your own images anywhere you like.
- It would be useful in galleries where space is an issue
- It can be used by photographers or artists to display their work to clients
- It can be used by vendors to display their products
- It cab be used in your home for any purpose you like!
|
|
Starting Off
|
- Rez the Fotoshow and position it as you like
- The FotoShow will start automatically. After a few seconds a title screen will appear
- You will not be able to use the FotoShow until you add some images
|
 |
|
Adding your own images
|
|
Edit the Image Sets Notecard
- Edit the FotoShow (right-click the FotoShow and choose Edit)
- Go to the Contents tab and open the Image Sets Notecard. You will see 8 lines each containing the single word, ‘Empty’
- Replace the words ‘Empty’ with whatever you want your image sets to be called. The names you choose will appear on the menu buttons.
The maximum length should not be more than 10 characters.
- leave ‘Empty’ unchanged for any banks which have no images in them. There must always be 8 lines in the notecard.
|
 |
|
Gather your images
- Create a sub-folder in your inventory. Call it anything you like
- Copy the images you want to use and paste them into this folder
|
 |
|
Set the Image Properties
All images MUST be full perms. The easiest way to set the image properties is as follows:
- select all the relevant images
- right-click the selected images and select Properties – the Properties dialogue will open
- tick the Modify, Copy and Transfer boxes
- close the window by clicking the little cross a little way down from the top right of the dialogue.
DON’T click the cross at the very top right as this will close the whole dialogue
- repeat for each image
|
 |
|
Rename your images
Images must be renamed to let the script know which bank they belong to and which shape they will be.
To select the IMAGE BANK place a number between 1 and 8 at the
beginning of your filename. Eg Change ‘MyPic’ to ‘3MyPic to include it in Bank 3.
To choose the SHAPE for any image add one of the following to
the end of each filename:
| Add |
Image Shape |
Aspect Ratio |
Example Sizes |
| _w |
wide |
2 x 1 |
1024 x 512, 600 x 300 |
| _l |
landscape |
3 x 2 |
1024 x 682, 900 x 600 |
| _s |
square |
1 x 1 |
1024 x 1024, 512 x 512 |
| _p |
portrait |
2 x 3 |
682 x 1024, 600 x 900 |
| _n |
narrow |
1 x 2 |
512 x 1024, 300 x 600 |
You can also choose to add images without any changes at the end
of the filename. In this case the images will default to a landscape aspect ratio.
|
Example Filenames
MyPic >>> change to >>> 5MyPic_w
This puts the MyPic image into bank 5 and sets a wide
shape of 2 x 1 aspect ratio.
MyNextPic >>> change to >>> 2MyNextPic_s
This puts the MyNextPic image into bank 2 and sets a
square shape of 1 x 1 aspect ratio.
|
|
Add your images to the Fotoshow
- Edit the FotoShow and open the contents tab
- Drag you images from your inventory and drop them into the contents window
- Click Refresh when asked
|
|
How does it work?
|
|
The FotoShow is entirely menu-driven. Click any of the menu options at any time to carry out the different functions.
There is often a short delay between clicking the menu and something happening as slides need to complete any transitions before a command
can be carried out. This is to be expected. There may also be a short delay between touching the FotoShow and the menu appearing.
As a result you will find it faster to set up each image set while the Fotoshow is paused or in Manual mode.
To reduce lag, the menus will time out within a couple of minutes. When this happens click Ignore to remove the menu.
Touch the FotoShow to display the menu again.

FotoShow owner.
New releases with new features will be available to existing
