Ruthed? HELP - I'm a cloud!!

You've spent all your Lindens on a great skin, fabulous hair, gorgeous clothes. You come inworld and you're a cloud! OMG!!! Panic! But don't worry... it CAN be fixed!!! Here are some possible solutions in order of extremeness.........

Solution 1

Rebake..... press CTRL ALT R a few times to rebake your textures. Very easy to do ... but in most cases this won't work!

Solution 2

Wear a different Bald Scalp Base.  In most cases this won't work either!

Solution 3

Right-click your avatar and choose Appearance. Wait a few seconds and then click OK in the Appearance dialogue. In most cases this won't work either!

Solution 4

Change your active group. You can change back right away to your preferred group. In most cases this won't help if you're a cloud but it often helps if clothes are slow to rez.

Solution 5

Create a new sub-folder in the Clothing folder of your inventory - call it Temp or Cloud or Replace, whatever you like.

At the very least, put a copy of your skin, shape, eyes and a bald hair base in it.

Any time you're a cloud, right-click that folder and choose Replace Outfit from the menu.

Beware though - you will come back naked!!! So it's a good idea to put some clothes in the same folder too!!

If any of your usual skins/shapes etc are No Copy just use any others you have and replace them once you're back.

This will work most of the time!

Solution 6

As a last resort......

Go to Advanced Menu >>> Character >>>> Character Tests > Test Male or Test Female according to your gender.

This will recreate you as a brand-new noob so you will have to re-wear your skin, shape, clothes etc!

I've found this has ALWAYS worked for me!

If none of the above work then think positively! Clouds can be very pretty!!!
