| Size |
I always set this to Custom |
| Format |
I use png as it is a good compromise between file size and quality |
| Width |
I set this to 3840 to provide an image with plenty of pixels to work with. This
is exactly double my screen width. It's best to stick to exact multiples as this
will produce the best results |
| Constrain Proportions |
I always leave this ticked |
| Height |
this is set automatically if Constrain Proportions is ticked |
| Image Quality |
I always set this at 100 (this only applies if you save as JPEG) |
| Capture |
choose Colors for normal pics |
| Show Interface / HUD objects in snapshot |
these two options determine what appears in your picture |
| Keep open after saving |
check this so the snapshot dialogue remains open after you have taken a picture |
| Freeze frame |
this allows you to freeze the current frame. You can recompose the shot while the frame is frozen. This can be helpful
with action shots as you can freeze the frame exactly when you like without having to worry about the composition. Be aware that if
you move your avatar in any way while the frame is frozen you will get some very strange results (You and your clothes
will be updated correctly but any prims you are wearing will remain in their original positions!) This is one to experiment
with to see what the possibilities are! |
| Auto-refresh |
the preview will update automatically when you take a picture |
